Water Boreholes - Cleaning A Borehole


Borehole cleaning

South Coast Water can provide you with a complete water borehole cleaning service.

You may find your water from your borehole very dirty, full of particules, clogged with iron and other deposits or you may just feel it needs cleaning.

A dirty borehole will not get cleaner, if there are large deposits of iron in there bacteria will form creating thicker iron deposits.

This is not good for your pump and all other equipment which deposits pass through, this includes mdpe plastic pipes as it sticks and clogs to the inside of all pipes, it will render your ultra violet light useless and you will need to change your particle/string filter quicker then you can order them. Bacteria forms everywhere there is water so if you feel you would like a borehole clean just to keep your mind at rest please contact us.

We will require you to let us know the size of the borehole (so we know what size pump to bring), depths of your borehole and what you think the problem may be.
we will then be able to give you some options on how you wish to clean the borehole. we can offer a 1 day clean, 2 day clean and 3 day clean along with chemical cleaning through these days.

Water Borehole cleaning in action

After you are wanting to go ahead and clean your borehole, we will arrive with an air compressor and a special pump called a Brumby Pump, these are air driven and have no moving parts so when working with particles it means no damage to the pump.

borehole clean 3The Brumby pump has no problem bringing up large particles and a lot of water so you will see an improvement usually within 4-5 hrs dependant on how bad the borehole has become..... if a borehole has been sitting for many years you will also have a water replenishment problem if the aquafirs have become blocked....this will also be improved by cleaning and by using the borehole.
We cannot guarantee your borehole will be clean in 1 day and dependant on yourself it may need to stretch to further days depending on what you wish.

If the borehole is extremely bad and clogged with iron or other deposits we may suggest you purchase an additional filter but again this really depends on you, your desire to use the borehole, how bad the borehole is and if drinking the water, what the results of a water test are.
