System Maintenance and Service

During the lifetime of your private water supply pumping system, some maintenance and sanitation will be necessary. Depending on the type of filtration equipment you have installed, filter media will need to be periodically replaced and or checked for wear, damage or contamination.

Pipe work connections will need to be checked, ultra violet filter lamps will need to be checked and perhaps renewed, and periodic water re-tests will need to be done to ensure that water standards are being achieved.

South Coast Water can provide you with a full service and system check – usually once a year, to ensure that your system is maintained for optimum performance levels, and to reduce the risk of sudden and unexpected failure.

In addition, it is recommended that your supply be re-tested by a lab at least once a year to ensure that the composition hasn’t changed and that no further action needs to be taken. This is very important, as water supplies do change over time. You need to know that your water is still suitable for your purpose, especially if you drink, cook, or bathe with it.
